Ashley & Felipe

Ashley & Felipe’s Napa Valley nuptials dripped with florals and love.

The Details

Ashley and Felipe were originally set to get married in June of 2020 in San Francisco. With the pandemic we shifted plans to Meadowood Napa for August of 2021, and then the fires in Napa burned down part of Meadowood so we pivoted again and found the perfect spot to celebrate their love with their closest friends and loved ones; Auberge du Soleil in Rutherford.

In October of 2021 the day was finally upon us! This black tie affair was full of lush florals and greenery. The classic black and white color palette shimmered with touches of gold and green. Their stunning ceremony overlooked the picturesque Napa Valley and they danced the night away to the musings of the Ben Mallare Band! It was a wonderful and unforgettable night!

More importantly, Elise is an incredibly empathetic person and really took the time to get to know us and help me work through the changes both logistically and emotionally.

Elise was our planner for our garden minimony in August 2020 and Napa welcome party + wedding celebration weekend in Fall 2021. Reflecting back a year later, we could not have imagined our special day without her! She was an absolute joy to work with–organized, efficient, great taste, and a strong communicator. What stands out most, however, is her calm and kind demeanor under pressure. Our wedding was originally scheduled for June 2020 and was postponed first due to COVID and then because our venue burned down during CA wildfire season. Elise remained calm and collected as we pivoted from a 200+ person wedding to an 11 person backyard ceremony and 120+ person welcome party + reception a year later. More importantly, Elise is an incredibly empathetic person and really took the time to get to know us and help me work through the changes both logistically and emotionally. I was so touched by her ability to creatively tie our minimony and reception together–from ensuring we could have similar florals (the same bouquet in different sizes at each event) to featuring photos from our minimony at the reception (shot by the same photographer) to working with a designer to create a crest that tied in garden and vineyard elements together for our wedding dat stationary, she made us and our wedding feel so incredibly special. Her thoughtfulness was further evidenced by her care/commitment to ensuring we were able to create a variety of menus for our guests’ varying dietary restrictions including omnivores, vegetarians, vegans, as well as some allergies. Elise is able to execute a variety of aesthetics at a high level–from garden (our minimony) to farm house (our welcome party) to traditional glam (our reception) and the many other styles she features in her gallery. This is in part due to her fantastic and versatile network of vendors (who were also all fantastic). She was able to coordinate a number of phone calls and conducted a final walk through herself as the day approached given that we live on the other side of the country. Any couple would be so lucky to work with Elise. We are already excited to connect with her again for anniversary & family celebrations!
